Four CcaM researchers will be presenting research at the 2014 meeting of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) in Lisbon, Portugal between November 12th and November 15th.
Professor Patti Valkenburg, Founding Director of CcaM, will be discussing “Parental mediation and media education” at an ECREA preconference.
Annemarie van Oosten will be presenting the results of her study entitled “Self- versus Other-Generated Sexual Content on Social Network Sites: Differential Effects on Sexual Self-Concept and Sexual Prototypes”.
Dian de Vries will be presenting the results of her study entitled “Adolescents’ Social Network Site Use, Appearance Training and Body Dissatisfaction: Testing a Mediation Model”.
And lastly, Inge Boot will be presenting the results of her study entitled “Understanding the Effects of Multitasking on Processing Sexual Media: The Influence of Controlled Attention on Non-Sexual Memory”.
