Dr. Renske van Bronswijk (Ph.D, 2002, University of Birmingham (UK)) has been a lecturer with the Department of Communication Science of the University of Amsterdam since 2007. Although she has a keen interest in research within ASCoR, especially that within the Youth & Media program group, she has chosen to dedicate herself to lecturing and communicating this knowledge to students. The courses she teaches are broad in scope and range from qualitative and quantitative methodologies to media use among youth groups and subcultures. Dr. Renske van Bronswijk has joined the CcaM staff as of February 2014.
Renske has previously lectured within departments of English Language and Literature of the Free University of Amsterdam, the University of Leyden and the Radboud University, Nijmegen. In addition, she has taught at InHolland University within the department of Communication Studies and the department of Media and Entertainment, as well as given communication training to employees of companies such as ABN-Amro and Canon. Although eclectic in her interests, her work tends to integrate language, culture and society.
