Jochen has received the grant for his research project "The Impact of Sexual Media Content on Adolescent Sexuality: An 'Experiential' Perspective".

In the past years, there have been heated debates about the so-called sexualization of teenagers. However, we still know little about the extent to which sexual media content affects teenagers’ sexual attitudes and behavior. In his new project, Peter is primarily interested in sketching the types of adolescents that are most influenced by sexual media content. Moreover, he wants to know which media exert the most powerful influences on adolescents. Finally, Peter not only aims at showing that sexual media content affects adolescents, but he also wants to reveal how this precisely works.

The project is expected to start in late spring. The project team will include a postdoc and a PhD student. Recruitment will start in early 2010.
