Tim Verbeij is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). In September 2019, he joined Professor Patti Valkenburg’s project AWeSome (Adolescents, Wellbeing, and Social Media). In his PhD project, Tim takes a within-person approach to investigate the effect of adolescents’ social media use on their well-being. His main supervisors are Professor Patti Valkenburg, Dr Ine Beyens, and Dr Loes Pouwels. At Leiden University, Tim received his bachelor degree in Psychology and a research master’s degree (cum laude) in Social and Organizational Psychology.
