Cherrie Joy (Chei) F. Billedo is an assistant professor at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) at the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on representation in media science, social media use among marginalized social groups, and media representation affects among young people. Current projects include her Dutch Starter Grant Project "Social Media Representation of LGBQ Young People", the interdisciplinary project "(Ethnic) Representation in Media & Technology- Why Scientific Insights Matter" funded by the Fair and Resilient Societies Seed Grant, and "The (In)visible Hub: Making Invisible Information Visible" funded by the ASCoR Collaborative Research Grant.
