At the ICA@75 conference, themed “Disrupting and Consolidating Communication Research,” CCaM researchers presented their work across a broad spectrum of communication topics. A strong emphasis was placed on the role of digital media in shaping experiences in various ways, with research spanning areas such as adolescent mental health and social media use, AI and robotics in social interaction, algorithmic personalisation, gender and representation in media, and evolving patterns of advanced technologies and social media consumption. The presented work reflects a rich diversity of methods and theoretical approaches addressing both current and future communication challenges. The Youth and Media program group also actively contributed to the conference through various chair roles and special sessions, including Science Under Fire and the Children, Adolescents, and Media (CAM) Research Escalator Session.
