Annemarie van Oosten receives Best Student Paper Award at Etmaal 2012 in Leuven, Belgium

9 February 2012. Annemarie van Oosten has won the Best Student Paper Award at the Etmaal van de Communicatiewetenschap 2012. The paper, entitled "Being Involved in Something One Should not Get Involved With: Women’s Resistance to Sexual Music Videos" by Van Oosten, Peter, and Boot, was ranked as the number one paper of all submissions with a Ph.D. student as a first author.

The "Etmaal" is a yearly conference, where researchers in Communication Science from the Netherlands and Flanders come together to present their most recent research, and offers an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field. This year's conference was held on February 9-10 in Leuven, Belgium, where Van Oosten received her award.
